I need you to love me.
Do you know what that means...?

I need you to teach me.
Don't think I automatically know what you expect from me.

I need you to have patience with me.
I really do want to please you.

I need consistency - not changing rules.
Otherwise, I just get confused.

I need exercise and play time.
After all, a tired dog is a happy, well behaved dog.

I need time with you.
Please take me along whenever you can.
I really don't like being alone.

I need you to expose me to different situations.
If you don't give me a chance, I have no way of learning.

I need you to have understanding.
You're bringing me into a whole new world.

I need you to be my leader.
If not, I'll have to take on that role -
And, it's far more stress that I can comfortably handle.

I need you to be a responsible dog owner.
It's the only way to prove to others that dogs are good.
Otherwise, where we can go together becomes much more limited.

I need you to give me time.
I need you to help me learn.

I need you to give me a chance.
If you can, you won't be sorry.
You'll have a faithful, loving companion!
